Nicole Franzel joins the Reindeer Games cast \u2013 CBS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Nicole Franzel <\/b>won the inaugural championship of “Big Brother Reindeer Games” after making two comebacks on the final episode, thus saving Christmas.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBig Brother 18\u201d winner took down Season 23 champ\u00a0Xavier Prather<\/strong> in the semifinal despite having a 30-second delayed start and then defeated Season 24 winner\u00a0Taylor Hale<\/strong>\u00a0in the final after being well behind in the first two of three rounds. But the final round, during which they had to stack 32 snowflakes, leveled the playing field.<\/p>\n

\u201cMentally, for me, it\u2019s easier to be like, \u2018OK, nothing lost if you don\u2019t get this, they have an advantage, they\u2019re kicking your butt. Just chill.\u2019 I think her being so ahead of me is what helped me with the antlers because I was like, \u2018I got nothing to lose at this point. I don\u2019t even know if I\u2019m gonna get these antlers out,’\u201d Nicole tells Gold Derby (watch above<\/em>). \u201cAnd once I got [to the snowflakes], it was a pretty even playing field. I think she had two bags of snowflakes and I had one, and so I was like, \u2018You can do this.\u2019 I kind of do better if I\u2019m coming from behind than [when] people are expecting great things from me, I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole took home $100,000 for the victory and kept it all a secret from her entire family except for her mom. She told her husband, fellow \u201cBB\u201d alum\u00a0Victor Arroyo<\/strong>, that she had finished second. \u201cI thought it\u2019d be so much more special for them to actually see it than to just hear it and I was actually so giddy for two weeks because I\u2019m like, \u2018There\u2019s this huge secret!’\u201d she shares. \u201cThe fact that Taylor was so ahead of me \u2014 I swear I was working on the antlers for, like, 15 extra minutes \u2014 I\u2019m like, \u2018It\u2019s gonna look like, Nicole, you\u2019re doomed,\u2019 so this is a perfect cover story. I think I initially wanted to tell them in person and then I realized, how fun would it to\u00a0surprise them? So I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

After competing on three seasons of \u201cBig Brother\u201d and \u201cReindeer Games,\u201d Nicole wrote on Instagram that she\u2019s\u00a0now retired<\/strong>. But she would definitely return to the franchise in other capacities. \u201cI\u2019m retired. I would be an Elf Ambassador for sure,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m excited for the contestants for next year because it was such a fun experience. It\u2019s something that you can never even explain or describe because it\u2019s so much in one day, but then if you look back, you\u2019re like, \u2018Wow, that was so fun.’\u201d<\/p>\n
