Cory Wurtenberger<\/strong> became the 10th houseguest to exit the Big Brother 25 house (and second to join the jury) when he was evicted by a vote of 5-0 on\u00a0Thursday<\/a> night\u00a0over his showmance girlfriend\u00a0America Lopez<\/strong>. Head of Household\u00a0Jag Bains\u00a0<\/strong>initially targeted Blue Kim<\/strong>\u00a0this week, putting her on the block next to\u00a0Felicia Cannon<\/strong>. But after Blue purred her way to one of this week\u2019s Power of Veto medals, Jag had to pivot and put Cormerica in his crosshairs.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the right move,\u201d Cory told host\u00a0Julie Chen Moonves<\/strong> during his exit interview. \u201cIf I win HOH this coming week I\u2019m putting Matt and Jag up, so no hard feelings when it comes to that. The truth is, after being called out like seven speeches in a row, I feel like I\u2019m in danger until that Veto meeting is done and noms are locked. So I was very uneasy this week, but obviously, I didn\u2019t see the double backdoor coming. That was a bit much.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Julie asked why Cory couldn\u2019t use his power of persuasion to get out of this eviction he responded, \u201cAt the end of the day there\u2019s just not enough houseguests left. When I\u2019m campaigning for votes Blue is off the table, she\u2019s been targeting me forever. Matt was part of the backdooring me plan. Felicia is not a fan of me, God knows why. The votes just weren\u2019t there. There\u2019s more I could have done, it just probably would have entailed me getting America to feel super guilty and throw in the towel. That feels like crossing a line. I\u2019m not going to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does he blame America for throwing Jag<\/strong> and Matt<\/strong> under the bus to Blue? \u201cI knew about those conversations happening after they happened,\u201d he admitted. \u201cI could have been more proactive in trying to fix that problem. The reality is, I\u2019m sure Jag was looking for a reason to put up me and America. This might have been the reason. This is not America\u2019s fault, I\u2019ve been a target for three, four weeks in a row. It was always going to happen, this is just how it happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if his showmance helped or hurt his game he acknowledged, \u201cSomewhere in the middle, probably. I don\u2019t think it hurt too much. At the end of the day, me and America are a pair in the same way Jared and Blue were, in the same way Jag and Matt are. It didn\u2019t work out because me and America can\u2019t win competitions, but maybe she\u2019s got a couple left in her. I don\u2019t know.\u201d He closed out the interview saying, \u201cI cannot wait to spend more time with America<\/strong>. She\u2019s amazing and I just can\u2019t wait for all this to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n
