Big Brother 25<\/em>\u2019s\u00a0Hisam Goueli<\/strong> sheds some light on his rocky relationship with fellow houseguest Cory Wurtenberger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Big Brother season 25, Hisam, 45, was captured on the live feeds saying that he kept calling Cory, 21, \u201cCody\u201d by mistake because, \u201csubconsciously I hate him.\u201d The pair were not aligned in the house and Cory helped ensure Hisam was evicted during the Thursday, August 24, episode of BB25<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Well, After his unanimous eviction over fellow houseguest Cameron<\/strong>, Hisam exclusively spoke to Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> and revealed why he and Cory got off on the wrong foot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI looked at Cory [early in the game] and I said, \u2018We might be able to work together.\u2019 \u2026 And Cory said, \u2018I\u2019m so glad you brought this conversation up because I would love that,\u201d Hisam recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then, in 12 hours or so, the energy had shifted and I felt that immediately. And I couldn\u2019t figure out exactly why. And then I found out that he was obviously in an alliance that did not include me,\u201d he continued, referring to Cory\u2019s Handful alliance, which included HGs Reilly Smedley<\/strong>,\u00a0Jag Bains<\/strong>,\u00a0Matt Klotz<\/strong>,\u00a0Cameron Hardin<\/strong>,\u00a0Blue Kim<\/strong>,\u00a0Jared Fields<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0America Lopez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hisam also noted that although he \u201ctried to repair\u201d things with Cory, he \u201cjust felt there was a dishonest or [disingenuous] component to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hisam and Cory were both present when houseguest\u00a0Luke Valentine<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0used the N-word during a conversation captured on the live feeds earlier this month. Luke, 30, was later\u00a0expelled from the game<\/a>\u00a0for using the racial slur.<\/p>\n

When the houseguests learned that Luke had been removed, Cory came forward and admitted that he\u2019d been present for the incident in question. Hisam, however, said that he didn\u2019t hear Luke say the offensive remark.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never heard it. \u2026 If I had heard the word, I would\u2019ve responded. I am not complicit in racism, in any stretch of the imagination,\u201d he told\u00a0Us<\/em>, adding that he \u201cdidn\u2019t assume anything had happened\u201d because Cory \u201cdidn\u2019t mention anything\u201d after they both left the room. \u201cHad I heard the word, I would\u2019ve said something because I\u2019m not complicit in that kind of behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cory wasn\u2019t the only houseguest that Hisam had friction with. His Professors alliance members \u2014 including\u00a0Felicia Cannon<\/strong>,\u00a0Cirie Fields<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Izzy Gleicher<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 conspired to nominate him for eviction after his tendency to dominate conversation began to rub them the wrong way.<\/p>\n

The alliance decided to employ the infamous backdoor strategy on him by waiting to nominate him until the Veto Competition had been played so he didn\u2019t get a chance to compete for his safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went into the game with the expectation that I would not backdoor anyone. And that was really important to me. And I did set that expectation early so that hopefully people would honorably not do that to me,\u201d Hisam told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cBut it is a game move.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although all of Hisam\u2019s allies betrayed him, he\u2019s still rooting for one person from the Professors\u00a0to win:\u00a0Mecole Hayes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do really like Meme. I think she\u2019s really lovely,\u201d he said. \u201cI think she\u2019s poised, I think she\u2019s sophisticated, I think that she\u2019s smart, I think that she has a good story. I love Meme quite a bit and I would be thrilled if she was the season 25 winner.\u201d<\/p>\n
