His departure will be addressed in Thursday night\u2019s show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a\u00a0Tuesday night\/Wednesday morning conversation\u00a0with Jared, Hisam and Cory, Luke said the word at the end of a statement he was making. He caught himself, put his hand over his mouth, corrected the word to \u201cdude,\u201d then laughed and said \u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Luke&#8217;s N-word slip in the have not room, and the aftermath in the next post. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BB25?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BB25<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Oa8UpPU0A5\">pic.twitter.com\/Oa8UpPU0A5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Techno Gaijin (@technogaijin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/technogaijin\/status\/1689205416394424320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 9, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>TMZ was the first outlet to pick up the story after fans took to\u00a0Twitter\u00a0(now known as X) to demand CBS take action. Fans were quick to remind Big Brother production of the code of conduct they released in a statement during\u00a0Big Brother 22\u00a0when fans believed Memphis Garrett had said the N-word on the\u00a0Live Feeds. Even though producers claim Memphis did not use the word, they added this to their statement: \u201cHate speech will not be tolerated, and those who violate the policy will be removed from the Big Brother House.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So when Luke clearly violated that policy, producers took action.<\/p>\n<p>Before CBS released the statement, several past houseguests joined fans in calling for Luke\u2019s removal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey need to remove him,\u201d\u00a0Big Brother 23\u00a0houseguest Claire Rehfuss posted on X. \u201cProductions need to enforce a zero tolerance policy. It\u2019s hate speech, you don\u2019t get to stay. AND production shouldn\u2019t put the burden on the players \u2013 ie don\u2019t make him a penalty nom or just tell everyone and have it play out. Just remove him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At around 2:38 PM EST, the\u00a0Live Feeds\u00a0cut, seemingly for production to address the situation to the houseguests. It\u2019s unclear how long the Live Feeds are expected to be down or if this news will effect the live eviction scheduled for Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>Want more?
