The abductors of the three teachers of Ebomisi Secondary school, Ugbogiobo village in Ovia North-East local government area are also demanding for a ransom of N10 million.

The Vanguard reports that the teachers, all male, were kidnapped on Monday, February 27 on their way from their place of work.

They were in company of three other female teachers, but upon their abduction, the three female teachers were allowed by the suspected herdsmen to go home.

The report said the incident resulted in a wild protest by students of the school who set up bonfires on the Benin-Akure major high way leaving passengers and motorists stranded.

The police in the state is yet to react to the incident.

Edo state has a law which stipulates death sentence for those found guilty of kidnapping.
