Actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, says it’s unlikely that he may feature in movies any time soon.
Elliot, who is busy with his political career, says he will be taking a hiatus from the acting scene, to concentrate on the development of the Nollywood industry.
When YNaija spoke with the Lagos lawmaker at Genevieve Nnaji’s Road to Yesterday premiere, he said movie roles are ‘not likely’ for him at the moment.
Elliot said: “There is so much we can do to improve the industry and that’s what I’m actually looking forward to doing. I think this is the time to do so”.
On life in politics, he said: “It’s very challenging but its been good.”
The Nollywood star represents Surulere Constituency 1, at the Lagos state House of Assembly.
